Musical Theatre Lessons
For all performers needs...
At Lion Academy, our Musical Theatre programme offers a dynamic and enriching experience for young performers, with a strong emphasis on singing and acting. Unlike dance-heavy classes, our focus lies in developing confident vocalists and expressive actors, guiding students through the storytelling aspects of musical theatre with a clear foundation in vocal technique, dramatic interpretation, character work, and movement for staging. With our specialist approach, students explore the craft of performance in a supportive and professional environment, developing their skills with care and creativity at every level.
We pride ourselves on close collaboration with our wider music faculty, often working alongside live musicians to help students experience the full impact of live performance. Our repertoire blends well-loved classics from Broadway and the West End with off-Broadway gems and contemporary works, encouraging students to engage with a diverse and inspiring range of material. Classes are held in our dedicated Musical Theatre studio and are tailored by age and stage: starting with Stage Cubs (ages 4–6), a playful and supportive introduction to the world of musical theatre. As students progress, they move into more advanced groups where technique, storytelling, and ensemble work become increasingly refined.

Our approach
Technique. Confidence. Grades
At Lion Academy, our musical theatre training focuses on vocal technique, acting, and storytelling through song. We prioritise clear diction, character development, and emotional connection, with movement used to support the narrative rather than heavy dance routines.
