Dan has always been obsessed with music. Learning countless instruments, and playing in orchestras, wind bands and jazz bands throughout school, he eventually discovered the electric guitar and bass and instantly fell in love. As a vital part of his career as an actor-musician, he’s played guitar in theatre shows from Pitlochry to Hong Kong. Most recently acoustic guitar in the first UK tour of Once the musical.
Dan holds a distinction in Grade 8 electric guitar and is also classically trained on the piano, saxophone and french horn.
An award-nominated sound designer and composer, Dan enjoys every possible facet of music and music production and is keen to pass on that enthusiasm to future students!

Yes. We encourage students to pursue examinations, as Grades 6 upwards gain UCAS Points for University. We also offer exam tuition in Classical/Folk/Pop and Musical Theatre depending on what the student may want to pursue.

No. Exams are extremely beneficial in improving confidence and technique, however sometimes they can be scary and time consuming. Some students prefer lessons for enjoyment and a break from all those devices!
