1-2-1 Lessons
Tuba Lessons
For all tuba players' needs...
Lion Academy offers 1-2-1 Tuba lessons.
Our Studio offers 1-2-1 face to-face & Online Trombone lessons. We also offer Lessons for the Tenor horn, Baritone Horn & Euphonium, which are members of the Tuba family, but smaller in size, and often seen in Brass Bands.
The Tuba is the lowest sounding member of the Brass family. It has a deep, rich sound and is an important member of the orchestra because it often anchors the harmony. It is the largest of all brass instruments.
Tubas are prominent in marching bands, and orchestras. They are famous for their “um pa pa” sound but can produce stunning melodies and explore solo repertoire. They are also found in brass choirs, brass bands, military bands and Latin music.
Some famous Tuba players in recent history include Roger Bobo and Herbie Flowers but there are also fantastic new Tuba players like Carol Jantsch, Tom Abbs and Alan Baer.
Our experienced, qualified Tuba teacher creates bespoke lesson plans for each and everyone of our students. Lion Academy prides itself on offering enthusiastic and engaging lessons week after week.
Our Students will focus on developing correct embouchure (Mouth position), breathing technique, in addition our students will focus on developing notation skills, improvisation, aural and sight reading skills.
