The Lion Academy of Music and Performing Arts, are very passionate about singing! We offer expert tuition with a fun and encouraging approach. We offer individual singing lesson in Musical Theatre, Pop, Jazz, Classical and Rock.
In your singing lessons you will learn vocal warm ups with a focal point on safe vocal technique. Furthermore we focus on a wide repertoire of songs to suit your style and taste in music and performance technique. You will also have the opportunity to learn microphone technique, recording technique, improvisation and song writing. We aim to build confidence in a positive and creative atmosphere.
We have a 100% exam pass rate in ABRSM, LCM, LAMDA and Trinity College London.

Amelia Bland (BA Hons Musical Theatre)
Amelia is a vocal coach and professional singer with over 12 years experience in the music industry. Amelia has a friendly and enthusiastic approach to teaching and loves to express her passion and knowledge onto her students. Her clients have appeared in Britain’s Got Talent, Les Misérables (UK Tour), Matilda (UK Tour), Edinburgh Fringe, Open Mic UK, Nativity (UK).
Amelia has travelled all over the world singing professionally. She began as lead vocalist on Costa Cruises and then moved to Macao, China as a classical singer at the Venetian. Amelia then joined classical crossover group the Celtic Ladies. The Celtic Ladies had a No.1 UK tour with Jonathan Ansell, and they also toured in Israel, Russia, Monte Carlo, Holland, Belgium and the UK alongside Spirit of the Dance. Amelia is currently working on a album with Classical Tenor Anthony.

Absolutely! Adults are welcome, whether your looking to expand on Vocal technique or want to pick up a new hobby!
We advise children from the age of 6 upwards benefit from 1-2-1 lessons.
Yes. We encourage students to pursue singing exams, as Grades 6 upwards gain UCAS Points for University. We also offer exam tuition in Classical/Folk/Pop and Musical Theatre depending on what the student may want to pursue.
No. Exams are extremely beneficial in improving confidence and technique, however sometimes they can be scary and time consuming. Some students prefer lessons for enjoyment and a break from all those devices!
