Here at the Lion Academy of Music we provide 1-2-1 Acoustic Guitar Lessons.
In your lessons you can learn the foundations of how to hold the instrument, how to strum, finger pick and play chords.
We also guide students to learn and understand standard musical notation and tablature. Therefore students can take away knowledge learnt in lessons and enjoy playing for years and years.
In your Acoustic Guitar lessons students will learn key skills in a safe, fun and engaging way.

We are proud to have a 100% exam pass rate & submit students in exams with these current boards ABRSM, LCM, RSL (Rockschool) and Trinity College London. We can even record your exam in house at our Brighouse Studio.

Daniel Bottomley
Dan has always been obsessed with music. Learning countless instruments, and playing in orchestras, wind bands and jazz bands throughout school, he eventually discovered the electric guitar and bass and instantly fell in love. As a vital part of his career as an actor musician he’s played guitar in theatre shows from Pitlochry to Hong Kong. Most recently acoustic guitar in the first UK tour of Once the musical.
Dan holds a distinction in Grade 8 electric guitar and is also classically trained on the piano, saxophone and french horn.
An award nominated sound designer and composer, Dan enjoys every possible facet of music and music production and is keen to pass on that enthusiasm to future students!

Absolutely! Adults are welcome, whether your looking to expand on Vocal technique or want to pick up a new hobby!
We advise children from the age of 6 upwards benefit from 1-2-1 lessons.
Yes. We encourage students to pursue singing exams, as Grades 6 upwards gain UCAS Points for University. We also offer exam tuition in Classical/Folk/Pop and Musical Theatre depending on what the student may want to pursue.
No. Exams are extremely beneficial in improving confidence and technique, however sometimes they can be scary and time consuming. Some students prefer lessons for enjoyment and a break from all those devices!
